Each tool publishes its formula and assumptions. Initial values are editable examples. Storage uses decimal units unless TiB is explicitly stated. Models do not retrieve live prices or measure your infrastructure.
Verification
Automated tests cover examples and edge cases, including IPv4 /0, /31 and /32 and RAID restrictions. Compare estimates with real measurements. Report errors by email with the tool, inputs and expected result, without sharing secrets.
